Worlds 2022 Severe audience decline

According to the Esports Charts, the Worlds Group 2022 has decreased by about 40% of the audience in all 3 items of the highest number of viewers at the same time, the average viewer & the number of hours of viewing. The match between T1 & Fnatic in the first leg of Group A peaked with 1,390,933 audiences, as if only 1,219,103 viewers watched the second leg. T1 continues to hold the record for the highest number of viewers in the tournament with 1,362,885 audiences in the heroic screen with Edward Gaming in the first leg. The match between Gen.g Esports & Royal Never Give Up records 1,265,910 viewers – the highest in the framework of Group D.

T1 is the most favorite team for the average viewer's turn with 1,049,804 viewers during the group stage. Fnatic & Edward Gaming ranked 2nd and 3rd with 997.997 and 987,654 viewers, the reason probably comes from the confrontation themselves with T1.

Esports Charts also pointed out that the average number of people viewers of Worlds 2022 decreased in many broadcast languages. With English, the number of viewers decreases only 5%, but with Korean & Portuguese, the number is up to 63%& 42%. This clearly reflects that the time zone is not suitable for countries using Korean & Portuguese language, leading to difficulties in monitoring. In the first week of the group stage, the first matches began at 06:00 am in Korea & 10:00 – 11:00 pm in Europe.
