The VCS 2024 Summer Final round took place on August 17 and 18 at Nguyen Du Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. The three teams of Esports, Vikings Esports and Team Whales have played to find the tournament champion. Finally, GAM is the team winning the championship after the 3-0 victory over Vikings Esports in the final.
In the final match of the season, many news and newspapers reported on the event. In particular, Vietnam Television (VTV) has informed about VCS through 24/7 sports programs in VTV1 and VTV3 channels, at 19h50 on August 19.
In the news, VTV mentioned the “Forever We Stand” tournament message with the goal towards the future. The news also mentioned the victory of GAM ESPORTS against Vikings Esports to win the 6th consecutive championship. Finally, VTV mentioned the role of Riot Games and Vnggames in organizing an offline event, towards the future in the 2025 season.
After the VCS 2024 tournament ended, the two teams of Esports and Vikings Esports will be the representative of Vietnam to attend the 2024 World Championship from September to November in European countries such as England, France and Germany. This is also the last season of VCS to attend the international tournament as an independent area before moving to the APAC League 2025.
