Valorant's publisher published at the 2025 VCT Pacific Kickoff event press conference that the 2025 VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals event will be held in Tokyo of Japan on August 30 and 31. This is also the first time this final round was held outside the Korean territory when both 2023 and 2024 seasons played in Seoul.
Head of the Valorant Esports of the Asia -Pacific region, Jake Sin, shared in the press conference: “Japan is an indispensable choice when we see the love and enthusiasm that this community brings”
“As you all know, we have organized Masters Tokyo 2023 and really overwhelmed by the support and passion that fans show, even without the Japanese team playing. That passion is special, we are very grateful to the Japanese community and want to bring another event to Japan as soon as possible.”
Thus, the capital of Japan will be held an additional international event of Valorant after VCT Masters Tokyo 2023. Previously, Riot Games had wanted to organize the Ascension 2024 tournament of the Pacific region but had to switch to Jakarta, Indonesia due to logistics issues. Along with the notice of determining the place of organization, Riot Games also revealed that it had closed the venue for the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals.
However, before coming to the Stage 2 event, the season of VCT Pacific 2025 will start with the kickoff tournament, starting from 18/1-9/2. The 12 teams will compete for two representatives of the competition area at Masters Bangkok 2025 in late February and early March.
