On the official Twitter, Valorant has just announced the change of the mechanism of the team attending the Last Chance of Qualifiers Apac from October 11 to October 17. Specifically, Zeta Division refused to attend the tournament to have more time to prepare for the 2022 season. This means that the Japanese team also misses the opportunity to participate in Valorant Champions at the end of the year.
With Zeta Division abandoning the tournament and the Chinese region could not identify two representatives, Last Chance Qualifiers APAC increased by one more for each Japanese and Korean region (taken from two Chinese capacity). Thus, Japan and South Korea will have 3 teams to participate in Last Chance Qualifiers Apac instead of 2 as expected.

The Japanese teams eligible for this year's event are Reject, Northporation and Fennel. Meanwhile, Korea will have 3 representatives: F4Q, Nuturn Gaming and Damwon. In addition, the competitions of other areas will not change when Southeast Asia still has 3 teams (Paper Rex, Boom Esports, Full Sense) and South Asia has 1 team (Global Esports).
True to his name, Last Chance Qualifiers is the last chance for teams in areas around the world to hope to participate at Valorant Champions at the end of the year. Like other tournaments, Last Chance Qualifiers will play in the formula of the victory – branch. All matches (except for the finals of Bo5) will take place in the BO3 format.
The championship team will win the only ticket of APAC to Valorant Champions to compete with the top 15 teams. In the APAC area, in addition to Zeta Division, there are two names that have just attended Masters 3 Berlin, Paper Rex and F4Q. Meanwhile, Nururn Gaming was also the No. 1 seed of Korea playing at Masters 2 Reykjavik.
