According to the image from an account called Dowcomer, the captain of Cloud9 – Anthony “Vanity” Malaspina participated in competition with members Michael “Net” Bernet, Jacob “Valyn” Batio, Jonah “Jonahp” Pulic and Trent “Trent” Cairns. The only player of The Guard was absent was the gunman against Ha “Sayaplayer” Jung-woo.
It is not clear that Vanity will directly replace the position of Sayaplayer or other players, but the appearance of the player in 1998 will bring experience to The Guard. The 2022 season marks the outstanding development of The Guard. After the Stage 1 championship, The Guard attended the Masters 1 Reykjavik but could not reach the top 4.

Step to Stage 2, The Guard decided and stopped from the group stage with a 1-4 record. This may be the reason why The Guard's Board of Directors dissatisfied and made a decision to purify the squad. Although unable to win tickets to the Masters 2 Copenhagen, The Guard is likely to be eligible to participate in Last Chance Qualifiers 2022 North American region if XSET is not good at Masters 2 Copenhagen.
The tournament will take place from August 2022 with the participation of 8 teams. Up to this point, there have been 7 names that are definitely contributed including FaZe Clan, Cloud9, Shopify Rebellion (the new name of Lumous Gaming), NRG Esports, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses and Sentinels. The championship team will join with Optic Gaming at Valorant Champions taking place later this year.
