Valorant: Riot Games announced the tournament for women in Europe

On the official Twitter, Valorant Champions Tour Emea has just announced the launch of the Valorant Game Changers (VCG) tournament starting on September 27. Accordingly, the European region is also the fourth area chosen by Riot Games to organize tournaments for women after Brazil, North America and Southeast Asia. Like previous tournaments, EMEA's VGC is also divided into 2 stages.

Stage 1 phase takes place from September 27 to October 3 and the stage 2 will start from October 25 to October 31. Specifically, up to 64 teams will participate in competition with a total bonus value of 40 thousand euros. However, with the special nature of the European region, the organizers have also decided to change the competition mechanism and are somewhat more interesting than other areas.

As a large area, but Emea organizes Valorant Game Changers quite late.

Conditions for the teams to attend VGC EMEA 2021 including members must be female and are all 16 years old and older, reaching a single class from platinum 1 at the time of the tournament or the nearest ranking season and at least 3 players must come from the EMEA area. However, when entering Stage 2, Riot Games was more open when changing the competition rules.

The stage 2 will be called “All-in” and the special feature is that the teams can combine the male and female player, and the condition is that at least 3 members are female in the main squad. With the “cooling hand” of Riot Games, it is likely that there will be many professional organizations in Europe to establish a women's team to compete in major tournaments in the future.
