On its official fanpage, the VCT: Sea Stage 3 Challengers Play-off has announced the movement of the group stage schedule from August 12 to August 13 and will end on August 16. The reason is given regarding the tense CIVI-19 situation, and the organizers want to ensure safety for the tournament operators.
“The health and safety of all employees is our top priority. Due to the complicated developments of the disease recently, we have always strived to choose the time of organizing events and tournaments that are suitable to ensure safety for participants, and bring interesting experiences for fans across the region,” the representative of the Organizing Committee said.
However, the play schedule of VCT: Sea Stage 3 Challengers play-off will be kept the same. Accordingly, the knockout period still started on August 19 and ended on August 22. In 9 days of competition, the top 16 teams in Southeast Asia will compete to choose the two most worthy names to Masters 3 in Berlin, Germany.
Notably, the areas of Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia each area will have 3 representatives attending. Meanwhile, the remaining two areas are Taipei China and Malaysia/Singapore each area will have 4 teams. With Valorant Vietnam, all hope will be put on top names such as Big Baam team, Cerberus Esports and EGO.
The team won the VCT: Sea Stage 3 Challengers Play-off will receive $ 25,000 and the first ticket to Masters 3.
