Valorant player requires changing the selection of the competition map

According to Valorant's mechanism, the player will play with a randomly selected map from 7 different maps. According to the update on January 9, 2024, the rotating maps include: Icebox, Lotus, Sunset, Breeze, Ascent, Bind, Split. Besides, three maps not on the list are Fracture, Haven and Pearl.

However, players will not be able to choose the competition map but completely random. A lot of players feel uncomfortable about this feature when they have to constantly play a map or fall into their own maps that do not often play, thereby detrimental to the team. In addition, changing the list of 7 competition maps entirely belongs to Riot Games, players have no right to intervene or choose.

Not only people, professional players also spoke about this issue. Loud's captain Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro once shared on April 14 that the current maps are too boring and require changes. Meanwhile, the reigning champion VCT Masters Madrid Tyson “Tenz” Ngo also admits Breeze and Icebox are his “nightmare” in the playlist list.

To change this situation, the player is asking Riot Games to allow the chosen map to play with the typical example of Counter-Strike. At CS: GO and CS2, players have the right to choose the map played in the list provided by Valve, including maps outside the professional list such as Nuke, Cache, Dust 2.
