At this year's event, the organizers still keep the formula as the 2024 season when choosing 5 teams with 5 different positions with captain Kiin, Peanut, Faker, Gumayusi, Delight.
Recently, the teams have also selected the members with the full list as follows:
– Team of upper lines: Zeus, Morgan, Kiin, Rich, Siwoo
– Forest team: Canyon, Sylvie, Peanut, Oner, Pyosik
– mid lane: Showmaker, BDD, Faker, ChoVy, Vicla
– Gunner team: Teddy, Berserker, Gumayusi, Viper, Jiwoo
– Support team: Keria, Kellin, Delight, Pollu, Way
It can be seen that the junglers, mid lines and gunner teams all choose familiar players with fans. Meanwhile, the support team has selected the rookie Way of KT Rolster. More specifically, the upper team owns two rookies, including the Rich of Drx (returning from Dignitas) and Siwoo, the young talent born in 2007 of Kia Kia.
The competition format is also a bit different from 2024. Accordingly, the teams will participate in a game, “Physical 30” and the winning team will be decided by the group. Accordingly, branch 1 will have two teams B and C confrontation, the winning team in this match will continue to meet team A to reach the final, team D and team E will meet in the other branch. The matches all delineated the results with the Bo1, the team that played better in “Physical 30” will be selected inside the match.
The LCK Season Opening event will take place on January 10, 2025 in Lol Park, South Korea. The prize is 100 costumes each of the championship team (a total of 500 costumes), the players will choose costumes to send to fans. At the same time, 1 million won (about 17 million VND) the bonus will be given to the best player at this year's event.
