T1 set a series of records after victory in the semi -finals

The match between T1 and Geng in the semi -finals of the 2024 World Finals is the first time the two teams have met in the knockout round of this tournament. Earlier, Geng has won T1 in 11 consecutive confrontations, since the branching round of MSI 2023. In particular, Geng has overcome T1 many times in LCK, as well as defeating Faker and his teammates in the final of the National Court.

However, this time, T1 excelled to win 3-1 to enter the final of the tournament. This victory helped T1 broke the losing series before Geng, and at the same time to the final of Worlds for the third consecutive year (from 2022 – 2024). This is the second time a team has done this, earlier SKT T1 in the period of 2015 – 2017 has been in the three World Championships and won twice in 2015 and 2016.

More impressive, even T1 has done this when he retains the squad playing with Zeus, Oner, Faker, Gumayusi and Keria. This is also the team with the longest time to play and still achieved great success. Even T1 is also facing the opportunity to defend the championship as well as the fifth throne in history.

However, in front of Faker and his teammates still had a final against Bilibili Gaming. Despite holding a failed achievement before LPL in the world final, T1 still cannot be subjective when Bilibili Gaming is in very high form. By defeating Bilibili Gaming itself in the Swiss round, T1 will still be the team that is more appreciated in this final.
