Vlad Marinescu resigned as president of IESF. Accordingly, Prince Faisal will take on the position of temporary chairman to the vote to confirm his role.
Prince Faisal is the Saudi Arabia royal family and has been the president of the Saudi Arabia Electronic Sports Federation since 2017. He has also been the position of IESF's vice president from June 2023.
IESF said that former chairman Vlad Marinescu resigned because of “as growing bridge” in serving the global Esports community. Accordingly, former VLAD Marinescu president recommended Prince Faisal as a suitable candidate to unify the international sports sport and promote a closer relationship with the publishers and the Olympic movement.
“Prince Faisal is the person I respect and appreciate. He is the one who carries the breath and has eSports blood flowing in him,” former President Vlad Marinescu emphasized.
“He is a model in Saudi Arabia and all that the National Electronics Federation can expect. Everyone respects Prince Faisal and he also holds a high position in IESF.”
“He is a friend, whom I trust in the task as well as to continue developing and promoting IESF.”
