According to a source from Vietnam Esports Express, Saigon Buffalo has successfully changed the owner. However, the price of SGB was not disclosed.

Previously, there was information that SGB wanted to resell all 6 players, VCS competition and 2 social network channels for 900 million VND. Besides, SGB also commits 900 million VND to be the cheapest cost to buy a team at VCS. In addition to the fee of 900 million, SGB confirmed that the salary fund of the current team belongs to the lowest in the tournament.
In the last 2023 season, SGB ranked fifth at VCS dawn 2023 and ranked 4th at VCS Sunset 2023. The change of the owner and renaming the team in the near future will be the end of the “Buffalo brand”. In the past, they won the VCS Summer 2018, VCS Spring 2019, attended MSI 2019 & 2022, participated in the World Final 2017, 2018 and 2022.
According to ITHETHAO.VN, owner Nguyen Van Nhat Linh used to pricing SGB up to 500,000 USD (about 11.8 billion) in late 2022. At the same time, he also contacted the Korean Sports Broker Company based in Vietnam to find the buyer. He even affirmed that “someone paid 400,000 USD” at the time before trading with CNJ Esports in November 2022.
However, in February 2023, CNJ Esports 'turned the car', decided to cancel the acquisition because “it has caused serious damage both inside and outside in promoting business”.
