On the new video on YouTube, Travis Gafford has released information that NRG and Immortals will leave LCS in the 2025 season. The reason is not publicly released but the likelihood is that Riot Games is preparing the process of restructuring the tournament to prepare to merge the tournament.

In the coming year, LCS will combine with CBLOL (Brazil) and LLA (South America) to become the Americas. However, these two areas will still play separately as before with North America and South America. Riot Games also announced that each area has only 6 teams, that is, this publisher is taking into account the two teams from the tournament.
NRG played twice in the LCS tournament, once in 2016 and then 2023 when acquiring Counter Logic Gaming. Meanwhile, Immortals also joined LCS twice in 2016 and 2020. Thus, the LCS tournament if NRG and Immortals left to only 6 teams, Team Liquid, Shopify Rebellion, Flyquest, Dignitas, 100 Thieves and Cloud9.
Information NRG and Immortals left less than 1 year after Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses announced withdrawing from the tournament. Currently, both organizations as well as Riot Games have not made an official comment on this information. However, recently there has been information that NRG has fired many employees in the organization and is having economic difficulties.
