The play-in round of MSI 2025 has just closed with 4 teams participating from 4 different areas competing in 3 days. In the final match of the play-in round, G2 Esports confronted the Esports GAM that lasted up to 5 games. However, the final victory did not belong to the representative of Vietnam that G2 Esports won the right to continue. Accordingly, G2 and Bilibili Gaming are two teams entering the branch.

Despite failure, the eSports gram still creates impressive achievements in views. According to the statistics of Esports Charts, the most watched match in the play-in round is the G2 Esports and GAM ESPORTS. At the highest time, this match reached more than 1.13 million views live at the same time. This is also the first match that surpasses 1 million viewers at the same time at MSI 2025.
Even GAM also won the second place among the most watched matches, with 870,239 viewers of GAM – Furia in the losing branch. Overall, the play-in round of MSI 2025 has achieved impressive figures such as 13 million hours, although the number of hours the broadcast has decreased compared to 2024 because the play-in round format has been shortened.
In addition to impressive views, Vietnamese viewers also left a mark when attracting nearly 400,000 followers, which is the language with the highest views in the world in the play-in round (excluding data from the Chinese platform). More notably, Vietnam achieved these numbers even though the competition is very “bad”, often taking place at dawn and not suitable to monitor.
