Mad Lions will be renamed to Koi in the 2025 season

Mad Lions is one of the major European eSports organizations. The organization was established in 2017 and the headquarters were located in Spain. The team also participated in Spain's League of Legends, Superliga before joining LEC in 2018. The owner of the organization is Overactive Media that merged Mad Lions and Sprlyce, and also won this official position.

Meanwhile, Koi also attended LEC in 2022 when she used to cooperate with Rogue to attend the tournament. However, after only 1 year, Koi and Rogue ended cooperation in November 2023, the Koi team returned to the old name as Rogue. Later, Overactive Media bought Movistar Riders and Koi, deciding to merge all teams under the name of a single brand later this year.

At the end of the 2024 season, Mad Lions Koi is expected to agree on a single brand, Koi next season. This team has just received a bitter defeat at the 2024 World Championship when he soon passed the play-in round but received a 0-3 result in the Swiss round, one of the first two teams to be eliminated next to Pain Gaming.

In the history of competition at LEC, Mad Lions won 3 championships in the spring, summer 2021 and spring 2023. This is also one of the few teams more than once in the G2 Esports domination to date. However, the achievements in the international tournament of this team are not good when they are constantly eliminated, in both the World Championship and MSI.
