Along with Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC), Arena of Valor World Cup (AWC) is the two largest events, internationally the international stature of the Mobile Union and is held annually. However, due to the influence of Covid-19 pandemic, AWC 2020 could not take place.
After 1 year of interruption, AWC will return this year 2021 and co -organized by Tencent Games and Garena in the form of online. It is expected that AWC 2021 will take place from June 19 to July 18 with a total bonus of up to 500 thousand USD, equivalent to about 12 billion.
AWC 2021 will welcome top teams from 8 areas including: Vietnam, Thailand, Taipei China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, China and Brazil. Particularly in Vietnam, Thailand and Taipei China, there will be 3 participants selected from professional tournaments of each corresponding region. In particular, Vietnam will take the participating teams based on achievements in the fame and fame arena of Spring 2021.
Team Flash is currently the reigning AWC champion, also one of the three representatives of the Vietnamese region to attend this year's tournament. Together with the new King of Spring Fame 2021 is the runner-up team, Saigon Phantom and the 3rd team, V-Gaming.
The area is considered to be “rivals”, also the biggest opponent of Vietnam in the international arena, Taipei China with 3 representatives. It is the weight of the first team – Mad Team, the 3rd GCS team and the new champion Most Outstanding Player (MOP) and the runner -up One Team.
The remaining large area, Thailand has just finished 3 representatives. In addition to the Rov Pro League in the spring of 2021, Bacom Time, the other two names are only determined after the Road to AWC selection round with the presence of 10 teams. Finally, Dtac Talon and Buriram United Esports excelled in the AWC 2021. Especially, Brutd welcomed the return of the No. 1 jungler Thailand for a while, Firstone. They defeated Valencia CF Esports in the final of the lost branch to get the last ticket.
