Garena has just announced important updates for the Arena of Valor Premier League (APL) 2025, which will soon start the official play-Ins round with the participation of 16 teams from three domestic and Wildcard rounds. After three weeks of competition, the four best teams will advance to the vibrant center of Southeast Asia to compete in the semi -finals and finals. Determined on July 19-20, the final of the tournament will take place at Bitec Live Hall, one of the top places of Bangkok, ready to welcome fans to witness the birth of the next International Mobile International Champion.

Format and list of teams participating in the APL 2025 tournament
APL 2025 has updates compared to the usual format, with the addition of the new Wildcard round to expand the representative of the area from 4 to 6 teams, creating opportunities for more talented opponents to rise through the rounds. The main play-Ins will then start with Swiss Stage, gathering 16 teams-domestic tournaments: Arena of Glory (AOG), Garena Challenger Series (GCS), ROV Pro League (RPL) will have 4 representatives, along with 4 teams from the Wildcard round.
Swiss Stage draw will take place on June 17. The top seeds from AOG, GCS and RPL are guaranteed to not confront each other at this stage.
Swiss Stage Round (June 22 – July 6)
After finishing the Wildcard round, the four teams finally showed up to participate in the main play-Ins. The list of teams participating in the Swiss Stage round includes:
– AOG area includes 4 teams: Saigon Phantom, FPT X Flash, Box Gaming, One Star Esports.
– GCS area includes 4 teams: Flash Wolves, Banmei Gaming, Cathay One Team, Hong Kong Attitude.
– The RPL area consists of 4 teams: Earena, Bacon Time, Buriram United Esports, Talon.
– Wildcard ring includes 4 teams: Ank Gaming (GCS), Super Nova (AOG), Full Sense (RPL), Deep Cross Gaming (GCS).
Playoffs Round (10-13/07):
The Playoffs will play with the branch of the defeated branch, combining matches according to Bo5 and Bo7. International Prohibition & Selection Laws are applied to increase the diversity in tactics.
Semi-finals and finals (July 19-20):
The semi -finals and final rounds will take place live in Bangkok with the live format of Bo7, the final stage promises the dramatic peak performances to find the new champion of the tournament.
