On his official page, the Ubisoft developer has just announced that midfielder Jesse Lingard has completed the acquisition of Audacity Esports, a UK -based organization. And in part of the agreement, the organization's Rainbow Six Siege team will be renamed Jlingz Esports to play the next season at the UK National Championship – Ireland.

“My brand has developed over the years. However, to invest in eSports and forming a team called Jlingz is unbelievable. Esports has all the elements that are suitable for me, it's its fast and competitiveness. It is great when Ubisoft accompanies me on this journey. Look, JLINGZ ESPORTS is very developed.” Esports Insider quoted Jesse Lingard.
In addition to laying the foundation for the Rainbow Six Siege team, Jlingz Esports also plans to develop strongly and attend the European Challenger League 2022. Before being bought by Jesse Lingard, this team consisted of Sam Williams, Skiddy, Lewis 'luxuriant' Coulson, Joshua 'Nerf' Froost, Jacking 'Blackout' Blackout, Blackout 'Blackout' Blackow 'Movetaho' Kuoppa. However, it is likely that captain Sam Williams will continue to stick with Jlingz Esports.

“We are very happy when Jesse Lingard joined the organization and was a member of the Board of Directors. Rainbow Six is growing very strongly in the United Kingdom as well as Ireland. Having a celebrity like Jesse Lingard is the most obvious evidence for that development,” Ubisoft's Marketing Director in the UK said.
Over the past years, the famous football players investing in Esports has become a wave in Europe. Real Madrid Casemiro owns the Case Esports team and is based in the Madrid capital of Spain. Striker Sergio Aguero founded a team called Kru Esports and most recently Gerard Pique also contributed to the acquisition of the Astralis Academy team at the Spanish National Championship.
