On October 6, the Global Electronic Sports Organization has just appointed producers, singers, musicians, recording artists, Korean -American businessmen – Jay Park, as an executive advisor to music and entertainment to help Gen.G Build a bridge between the Korean music community and esports. Jay will be the producer of music and content to introduce important moments of the organization, starting from Worlds 2022 with a new song by Mirani & Gemini named Rollin, manufactured by Groovyroom & Jay Park.
“Rollin” is a song telling the story of Gen.G how to set up the squad in 2022, how to operate, and finally conquer the goal of winning the World Championship. The song introduces two young artists, Mirani & Gemini, and the appearance of Geng's competition in the tournament in the US. This shirt was designed by Heron Preston, with the meaning of marking the year of Tiger as well as writing a new page for Gen.G.
Jay Park shared: “In fact, every young artist I used to work in is very interested in playing games, so I find it very interesting to cooperate with Gen.G to bring the global audience worthy of Mirani & Gemini. I have become a part of Gen.G, and I want to make a rolllin to mark the historic domestic championship of the team, as well as show my support to Gen.G at CKTG 2022.”
As entertainment and music advisors, Jay will focus on attracting different music artists to collaborate with the organization. After the music video “All in” was released last year, the executive director of Gen.G Arnold Hur and Jay would like to create a platform that can introduce and highlight young people. Hip-hop and R&B artists are emerging in Korea, who often struggle to get the opportunity to go up.
