Esports World Cup announced teams participating in the League of Legends content

According to the Esports World Cup homepage, 8 teams participated in League of Legends including Geng, T1 (LCK), Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports (LPL), G2 Esports, Fnatic (LEC), Team Liquid, FlyQuest (LCS). Thus, the invited teams are the defending champions and the runner -up of domestic leagues of large areas and are all attended MSI 2024.

Currently, the competition format of the tournament as well as the prize money has not been revealed, only the information that the teams will compete from 4-8/July 2024, in the middle of the competition time of the summer tournament. Therefore, regional tournaments such as LCK announced that they will postpone 1 week of competition so that teams can attend the Esports event with the total expected prize value of about $ 1 million.

After the list of teams published, Flyquest's page X has announced that “encouraging players, coaches and staff to decide to see if they want to join the tournament.” Thus, the right to accept the invitation to attend the event will depend on the conditions and desires of the organizations.

Esports World Cup is an event held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from July 4 to August 24 with a total prize value of up to $ 60 million. Thus, this event officially set the record of the tournament with the largest total bonus value, more than 15 million USD compared to the Gamers8 tournament in 2023. Besides League of Legends, the event also has many other subjects such as CS2, DOTA 2, PUBG or the truth arena.
