– Congratulations to the victory. How are everyone enjoying in Berlin?
You know, really fun. I have heard about buildings near the hotel area we are staying and we go there every night. Interestingly, I went around the city.
– How is the spirit and energy of Sentinels? Do you seem to be no stranger to playing on stage?
Yes, that's the case. I think we are the most competitive team without Fnatic. Everyone was gentle and relaxing, sometimes a joke, like a knife slash with M1xwell on the Icebox map. I didn't play well at all, but also tried to maintain the highest energy possible.
Finally, the players' efforts paid off. No one was angry when we lost in the second game. After all, we ended everything very neat.
– Sentinels is considered the best team in the world after the Masters 2 Reykjavik championship. Do you think Sentinels has improved after the tournament in Iceland?
It can be said that. When we came to Europe, we did not have much time to practice. We want more than that. However, 3 or 4 days that we have is enough for the members to improve. People discuss a lot about the methods that the whole team has never implemented. We are still on the right track or at least everything is not too skewed.
– Table D has changed in format when competing in a circle in a turn instead of the winning branch – the losing branch due to the Bren Esports cannot attend. Does that greatly affect Sentinels's plan?
We are not affected and not too worried. Although there are only 3 teams left, we still have 2 teams going on like other tables. What worries me is that people give a lot of legal matches that may not work in the group stage. That is all we have to think. In addition, there are not too many changes in the training plan.
– G2 Esports is not EMEA's No. 1 seed. However, they have been highly appreciated when attending Masters 3. What do you think about G2 Esports?
They are quite strong teams. Obviously we played better today, but maybe they will win us at the next meeting? As for F4Q, they are also strong teams. We really cannot be subjective before both F4Q and G2 Esports. Therefore, the whole team needs to be well prepared for the match against F4Q to expect to get good results today.
– How did game 1 take place from your point of view?
It is very much related to the ability to control the attacking team in area A, which is what Sentinels considered to be the focus. I think everyone has done very well. Sentinels let G2 Esports guess where we will go and do not give them control of area A. It is the plan that the teams play well at the Split map often do.
We believe in that scenario and create people's division situations. For example, whenever we see 3 people in A, we will divide people from B. Even the ability to distribute personnel when we attack are very good.
– As experts evaluate, you are one of the best CYPE players in the world. Therefore, can you share a little about your 2 viper and sova options today?
Yes, this is what we said right from the first training days. Viper is very strong on the attacking side, as if you have 2 technology cages of CYPE, but are set and exist longer. That accidentally put a lot of pressure on the people in the A side of the defensive faction. So, I decided to try Viper.
If something had to say, this was not a training match and I entered with a very serious attitude. I just want to see if Viper is really okay. In the end, everything was very good.
– Icebox, G2 Esports map are the first to choose. Are you surprised with that impressive performance?
They didn't surprise us, I thought so. They are all competent and skilled players but largely because Sentinels has started slowly. Personally, I think partly because I am not too knowledgeable Icebox.
– From the view of the audience, Haven is the best Sentinels map. Is there any pressure to shoot the last match with G2 Esports in this map?
Are not. We are sure that we play well when playing in Haven. I have done situations and it is like I am opening a book. The book has the whole plan when attacking by G2 Esports and I read it on the map.
– Sentinels has not passed the group stage. However, did you think about the knockout round?
Are not. I think of each battle, especially when they are all teams that are not bad at all. For teams like G2 Esports, when you defeat them once, they will learn from experience and make it difficult for you in the next confrontation. We have to focus on passing the group stage before thinking of the knockout round.
