Despite being very disappointed after the defeat, Valyn still joined G2 Esports to attend the press conference. The captain of G2 shared: “We played very well but still not enough. I told the whole team that becoming a professional player is the hardest thing. There will be times when you fall into the deepest abyss and can also achieve the greatest success with your team.”

“Life cannot operate without failure, no matter what you do. I told them (G2 Esports) what it would be like if we only won? We never want it. There are many ahead of the tournament and the experiences we accumulate here will only help us stronger.” At the end of the answer, Valyn also encouraged his teammates towards the next tournament to win the championship.

Despite the defeat in the final final, G2 Esports is still the first team from the Ascension tournament to the final match of an international tournament. Earlier, Valyn and two current teammates Trent and Jonahp once crowned the Ascension 2023 championship, the Americas region called The Guard, then the whole team switched to G2 Esports.

At the end of the Masters Bangkok 2025, G2 Esports will return to the Americas region to play at VCT Americas Stage 1, starting from March 22. The three best teams in this tournament will win the right to attend the next Masters of the year in Toronto, Canada.
