Acend started with a victory over Supermassive Blaze. Despite the difficult time, CNED and his teammates still accomplished the goal of reaching the second round to cope with Vision Strikers. Besides CNED, BoneCold is also an impressive name of Acend. Answer the above interview Hotspawnthe Finnish player revealed that he and his teammates are ready to conquer the throne of Masters 3.
– Congratulations on winning, BonCold. What is your first thought when Acend beat Supermassive Blaze?
I mean everyone is very excited to be here. We have made very good preparation steps for Masters 3. It feels that this is just the beginning of the journey in Berlin of Acend.
– It seems that the Acend collective is very flying. Do you feel any pressure?
I don't know anymore. We have extremely dynamic players. Our best preparation is an effort, and we must believe that we have been playing on the big stage. Acend performed a lot of mental training sessions, many people did that. We have to learn how to deal with pressure when we step on stage.
Actually, we only met for the first time in real life 2 weeks ago. The members met, relaxed, laughed happily. Before that, we only saw each other through the camera, through the screen to see each other's attitude and expression. That is what makes us strong when entering the tournament this year.
– Referring to the spiritual training sessions, do you feel that it is useful when playing on stage
We are not taught too many tips to make psychology more comfortable. However, what the team learned after the lessons was very ideal. Sorry, but I really didn't want to disclose in detail what Acend prepared.
– Acend won an impressive victory in the opening match. Do you expect that result?
In fact, we had a series of 15 wins before losing to Supermassive Blaze and Gambit Esports in the domestic league. Those failures are not really good and everyone thinks “Oh, are everything stable? How will they play on the big stage?”. We did very well and wanted to scream that we were really ready for Masters 3.
– And you screamed. It's hard to hear but is BoneCold's emotions surging?
That's right (laugh). It is great to play here. There are many other things than when you play at home. You see the opponent sitting opposite you, it's another dimension. Regarding what I shouted, everyone has heard in the teamspeak section. The whole is about the process we play and about the opponent, like another person of mine.
– There is a moment when you sang We will Rock You when the match paused. How can you sing so comfortably?
Of course we were prepared (laugh). However, everything was not so good, Acend lost 6 in a row after that. I mean it is not appropriate or not but the idea when we sing that song. I really don't want to sing, mostly Starxo and the other members also sing “Naaaa Na, Naaaa Na, Rock You!” with him.
– You are very comfortable. How does that affect Acend's journey?
We don't expect that we will start better. As I said, this is just the beginning of Acend in Berlin. I think Acend will do and go to the final to win a comprehensive victory.
– Do you want to send any message to fans?
I really thank my fans, friends and family. I will make everyone and those who know I'm super proud and aim for every victory in this year's tournament. Thank you.
