Founded in 2021, Beyond Gaming was born in the hope of changing everything in the Chinese Taipei Electronics ecosystem. The team has won the position of AHQ Esports Club, the legendary organization has reached the quarterfinals of Worlds 2015.

Since joining the League of Legends, BYG has always reached the knockout round of the domestic tournament, proving their consistency and ambition. The team also attended the two Worlds 2021 and 2022. However, BYG still faces increasing operating costs to maintain good achievements over time.

According to the notice on the homepage, BYG said the financial situation of the organization is no longer sustainable. Besides, the decline in health status of the owner Xue “Dinter” Hong-Wei makes the team will not be able to continue playing.

Financial sustainability has affected many electronic sports organizations in the past few years and BYG is currently the latest victim. The BYG leaving the tournament will affect PCS because now they will have to find a new team instead.
