The APL 2025 event was the first international tournament of the year of the Mobile Union, taking place at Garena Esports Studio, Bangkok, Thailand. In addition, the total prize of the APL 2025 was set of $ 500,000. The tournament is divided into two stages: Wildcard will take place in May, while the final round takes place in June and July.
The Wildcard round took place with 8 teams, including two teams from Vietnam (through AOG), Thailand (RPL), Taipei China (GCS) and Indonesia (ASL). In terms of formula, the Wildcard round is likely to be similar to APL in 2023 when the teams are divided into 4 pairs, competing in the winning branch – the losing branch to identify 4 teams in the final round.
In the final round, 16 teams attended with 4 teams from Vietnam, 4 teams from Taipei China, 4 teams from Thailand and 4 Wildcard teams. The teams will play in the Swiss format to find 8 teams into the play-off. Finally, the teams will continue to play according to the winning branch – the branch lost until the champion.
Currently, the Arena of Glory Spring 2025 (AOG) has entered phase 2 with 6 teams of Flash, One Star Esports, Saigon Phantom, The Daredvil Team, Super Nova and Box Gaming. The teams will compete in a circle to find 4 teams in the play-off. The last two teams will play in the Wildcard round, and the top 4 will go straight to the main event of APL 2025.
