Currently, the 2025 season of League of Legends has passed 2/3 of the way. In the near future, the teams will look forward to the last season to end the season as well as competition for tickets to the final international tournament of the year as the 2025 World Championship in China. With the LCP area, the Season Finals will start on July 26 and last until September 21, with the culmination of the final week at Tien Son Sports Palace in Da Nang, Vietnam.
In terms of formula, Season Finals is divided into a qualifying round and playoffs, in the qualifying round with 2 stages. Phase 1 is the group stage, which takes place from July 26 to 10. Based on the achievements of the teams in the qualifying round of the Mid Season period, the teams will be divided into 2 tables including the player group and the breakthrough.
Accordingly, CTBC Flying Oyster, GAM ESPORTS, PSG Talon and Team Secret Whales will be classified as the top 4 group, while the breakthrough will include Chiefs Esports Club, Detonation Focusme, Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks Gaming and MGN Vikings Esports. The teams will play in the circle 1 round Best-of-3 (BO3) in their table to determine the first list for the next stage of the main season.
Phase 2 is the class division takes place in August 15 – 24 August. The groups will be disturbed through the series of re -dividing the group: 4th team from the player group and the first team from the breakthrough will confront, while the 3rd team from the player will face the 2nd team from the breakthrough. The winning teams in this series of matches will participate in the player, while the losing teams will participate in the breakthrough.
After that, both tables will play in the formula of the winning branch – the branch lost. At the end of phase 2, all teams from the player group will enter the Play-off, while the teams with 2 wins from the breakthrough will be continued. From September 5 to September 21, 6 teams entered the playoffs round to play in the formula of the victory – branch to lose to compete in the 3 Performs to attend Worlds 2025. The team won the final will also become the first champion of the LCP tournament.
At the end of the season, the two guest teams will have to compete in the promotion and relegation tournament right after the final stage. Organized at LCP Arena from October 1 to October 4, the best teams from domestic tournaments in the Asia -Pacific ecosystem will compete to have the opportunity to promote to LCP 2026.
