The opening match of AIC 2023 witnessed the match between Vietnam's No. 2 seed, cum defending champion V Gaming and “phenomenon” from Taipei China, Deep Cross Gaming. In terms of name, experience as well as class, “black golden birds” proved superior, so they are expected to have a complete victory on the day of the launch.
In game 1, VGM has Aya but suddenly chooses a squad without gunner. VGM therefore faced many difficulties in controlling and for DCG to create “airport” after nearly 18 minutes. In the end, V Gaming lost to the score 1-2. Despite the beginning not as expected, the defending champion still has many opportunities to “correct”, and Deep Cross Gaming has partly proved that it is not unreasonable that they participate in AIC, even if just a rookie.
