On the afternoon of November 10, Gen.G Esports officially announced the breakup of Ruler gunner after more than half a decade of attachment. Ruler & gene contract ends after both reaching each other's consensus. The decision was made after Worlds 2022 ended for less than 1 week.
Ruler has been an indispensable part of the Samsung Galaxy squad – the forerunner of Gen.G Esports since 2016. In the first season, he helped SSG to the final of Worlds; 1 year after Ruler & SSG recreated the 2016 final in China. There Ruler had a speed of $ 4.5 million to life when locking the Demon King with a sinful chain to win the championship.
The victory of SSG 2017 marked the collapse of the SKT T1 empire for the present. With SSG, their name changed the owner in 2018 to KSV & then Gen.G.
Ruler is the true legend of Gen.G when experiencing countless ups and downs with the team throughout the history. 7 years of attachment, Ruler reached the world peak in 2017, the Korean championship in 2022.
