DTCC 6.5: Silco and the potential to expand the League of Legends

The villain in the Arcane – Silco series will officially debut at Season 6.5 – underground city. Silco was the first general to participate in theCC but not from League of Legends. Therefore, Riot has to spend a lot of resources to build Silco from the beginning.

This can be considered as an ambitious breakthrough of Riot. After Silco's success, Riot will probably continue to launch unique generals in theCC without going through League of Legends.

The developer Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer said: “Silco is a symbol of openness in our champion design. It is not merely bringing from League of Legends.”

“We are very happy to be able to expand the future options. There is no more specific plan, but we will mention it as soon as completed,” Mortdog revealed.

The game is always the first mentioned when talking about LoL story is Valorant. There, Valorant has been extremely attractive since its launch in 2020. Just look at Zeri and Neon, though different in the skill set, but they are more inspired to combine.

“When we revealed the possibility of appearing non -League characters, the general from Valorant was always the first thing to” bounce “in everyone's head,” Mortdog humorously shared.

In addition to Valorant, the League of Legends universe still has countless potential generals of Legends of Runeterra. This is a card game with characters inspired by League of Legends.

It can be seen that theCC is a fertile ground for Riot to carry out the intersection between the universes, even outside Runetera. Other games like Fortnite, PUBG Mobile also achieved certain success when cooperating with celebrities like Vi and Jinx (League of Legends). From here, the development potential of the League of Legends is extremely great.
