Competition format

The AWC 2021 group stage will have a total of 48 matches, taking place in 8 days from June 19 to June 27. The matches in the group stage will take place in the BO2 format, the circle of two turns. Each 2-0 win to bring 3 points for the winning team, the losing team will not have points. With 1-1 draw, each team gets 1 point. In addition, the “Global Ban Pick” law will be applied from the group stage to the final. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams each will win the right to participate in the play-off round.

The play-off AWC 2021 includes the quarterfinals (from June 30 to July 4) and the semi-finals (from July 10 to July 11), competing in the formula of the broken branch. The first series of the quarterfinals and the first series of the losing branch will play according to the Bo5 format. All matches will take place in the Bo7 format. The two best teams will participate in the final match on July 18.
