“We are delighted to be officially announced to everyone that after the friendly meeting and negotiation, coach Yang Dae-in (ID: Daeny) extended the contract successfully,” Weibo Gaming confirmed.
“We will continue to work with the daeny coach. As a solid support for the team and a lighthouse, we believe that under the guidance of the chief coach Daeny, the WBG will enter the 2024 season with new spirit and move forward.”

Coach Daeny led Weibo Gaming in the summer of 2023. Accordingly, he brought Weibo Gaming to the finals of Worlds 2023 before losing 0-3 T1. This is considered a respectable achievement of Weibo Gaming because they ended the Summer LPL 2023 in the top 6 and attended the 2023 Worlds as China's No. 4 seed team.
In the past, Daeny coach also led the two leading teams in Korea, Damwon and T1. However, the strategist born in 1993 was only successful in Damwon when winning the LCK Summer 2020, Worlds 2020 and ranked in the top 8 at Worlds 2022.
The extension of a 1-year contract with Daeny coach is the first step of the WBG in the process of building the team before entering the LPL spring 2023. Previously, WBG said goodbye to the “Karsa” forest player Hao-Hsuan.
