Attending AIC 2021 as the No. 3 seed of Thailand, only tickets struggled through the AIC selection round, so Buriram United Esports was not too appreciated. During the group stage, F1 and his teammates only got the third place in Group A and then, lost to Saigon Phantom 2-3 in the first quarterfinals.
Buriram was forced to remake from the losing branch, where they met all opponents evaluated on the basis. However, Buriram still surpassed it all, respectively, one team (4-0), DTAC Talon (4-2) and Hong Kong Attitude (4-3) to enter the final final against V Gaming.
During the journey to the final, Buriram was once at the edge of the “door of death” when HKA was led 3-1. But the shine of individuals brought them to the final match. Here, Buriram continues to make the same miracle.
Leaded by V Gaming, Buriram began to show his stubbornness to balance the score 3-3 and calmly win the decisive game. Buriram ascended the throne at AIC 2021, thereby winning the first international mobile coalition championship, removing the label “the king came second”.
Although unfortunately for V Gaming but undeniable, Buriram deserves to be honored with the bravery and resilience they have shown. Personally, the championship is a special reward for Nunu, “the golden spine” has continuously shone, many times helped Buriram overlook the unbelievable rafters at AIC 2021.
