VCS 2024 Summer closed the final venue before being combined into the APAC area

VCS 2024 Summer Cup is the first time the tournament will welcome the audience to watch directly after 5 years. The last time the audience was able to go to the stadium to watch the matches were VCS in the summer of 2019, when the eSports gram won the championship.

Nguyen Du Stadium is located at 116 Nguyen Du Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. This will also hold the final round of 2024 VCT Challengers Vietnam Split 2 on July 27-28.

VCS 2024 Summer is the last season before the tournament was merged with PCS, LJL and LCO to form the Asia -Pacific region (APAC). Accordingly, since the 2025 season, VCS will not have the capacity to directly attend international tournaments but must compete with the remaining areas.

With a thickness, Riot Games was able to launch a completely new tournament in 2025. The new tournament will gather the best teams from Vietnam, Hong Kong China, Taipei China, Chinese Magic, Japan, Oceania and the rest of Southeast Asia, in order to bring regular inter -regional tournaments regularly with the most excellent competition, new competitiveness and competitive battles. With a total of 8 teams expected to participate in the tournament, Riot Games is starting a plan to connect a new combined partnership along with the promotion/relegation tournament model and will provide detailed information in the future.

Meanwhile, the list of the first visitors to participate in the tournament next year will be determined based on the results of the PCS and VCS Round of Summer 2024. This will give the teams participating in the VCS, PCS, LJL and LCO tournaments the opportunity to ensure a capacity in the new tournament. For future seasons, when the promotion/relegation model is effective, the visitors will have the opportunity to promote from the corresponding domestic tournament.

With a total of 5 regions (America, LEC, LCK and Asia -Pacific), Riot Games has a new perspective on dividing the capacity to participate in its international events. Each area will have 1 new event participation (total 5 teams), 2 participating in MSI (total 10 teams) and 3 capacity to participate in Worlds.

In addition, the MSI champion and the 2nd excellent achievement will continue to receive additional capacity to attend the Worlds for their tournaments, bringing the total number of teams participating in Worlds to 17 teams. Worlds 2025 will include the booting ring that takes place in the Bo5 format, and the winning team will join 15 other participating teams directly into the Swiss format.
