– Is this the first time you come to Vietnam? How do you feel about our country?
This is my first time coming to Vietnam. Before that, MSI 2019 was held here, but unfortunately I could not attend because I was busy in Taiwan. This 31 SEA Games is also the first occasion that I went to this S -shaped strip of land.
Everything here is great. I grew up in Brazil, where tropical climates. After that, I moved to Los Angeles, where the climate was completely opposite. There, it is always dry and rarely rains. So when I came here, I felt like going home. The food here is also great. Last night I ate pho, the dish was extremely famous in Vietnam and I really liked it.
– How do you evaluate the organization of the battle at SEA Games 31?
Everything is wonderful. I am very impressed that the production team has made good use of everything even though we only have a small room. Everything on stage is very beautifully installed. I also prefer the broadcast team of the tournament. They have high aesthetic publications. In general, everything is great, I am very impressed with this tournament.
– What is the meaning of the battle in a big tournament like the 31st SEA Games, which means that the subject's eSports activities in 2022?
This really brings dozens of valuable goods to the esports activity of the battle. This year, everything has just started with the first season. We are still on the process of building community and teams in regions around the world. The speed of the war is in a big tournament like the SEA Games, making the story of the future for the Esports activities of the Chien Chien much more attractive. It is interesting to see the players and teams representing the nation, instead of their organization as usual.
– So in your opinion, the picture of the Vietnam Charity Community in particular and Southeast Asia in general?
When we start to discuss Riot's MOBA games in recent years, it is clear that Southeast Asia is a potential market that we need to focus on exploiting. Now witnessing the growth of the Southeast Asian and Vietnamese community makes me very happy. We have big tournaments, community reactions about the activities we offer are also extremely positive.
Personally, I am very excited to organize more tournaments and big events, and bring international tournaments to Southeast Asia. Riot is investing a lot of strength, money and gray matter for this area, we will definitely have many interesting things in the near future.
– How do you evaluate the Vietnam War team?
I have not had the opportunity to watch the entire tournament. I am very excited to watch their performance in the next tournaments. I believe they will make Vietnamese proud.
– The Vietnamese war community is developing day by day. Do you have any plans or plans to develop the Vietnamese community more this year?
As I said, this is the first season of the Esports system. We have the premise to develop strongly in the future, including larger tournaments, movement to Southeast Asia of big speed events, strong explosion of Southeast Asia in the past year.
At the same time, this year's largest stages of Esports will stop in Southeast Asia, and we will continue to stop here many times. Because, this is our very important market, and we feel welcome here. There will certainly be many interesting things that the speed to bring to the Southeast Asian community this year.
– According to the published information, the Global 2022 Icons will be held in Singapore instead of Europe as expected. What is the cause of this change?
Whenever we need to choose the location to organize for a World Championship, we have to study hundreds of different factors, specifically such as: Hall, gaming equipment, the ability to buy and sell the equipment needed, the number of users to plan the audience, the operating team, even the routes used for transportation. There are hundreds of things we have to consider carefully before making a final decision.
At that time, that was a few months ago, Europe seemed to be the most ideal place for our requirements. But one of course is that no one predicts how the world will change, especially in the current epidemic situation. In some places, the disease problem is improved, but in some other places is not.
The fact that we move the venue to Singapore is to maximize the ability to participate in the direct competition of teams around the world. This area will allow all teams to attend. Honestly, we hope we can be held in Europe, because we have an extremely monumental plan for the stage in this area.
But now, we are eager for Singapore, with what we can do. Although we have to leave everything and start designing all programs from the blank page, we consider we can give the opportunity to participate in the tournament to all teams in the world as a top priority.
