On the homepage, Sentinels officially announced signing a contract with coach Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty. In North America, Rawkus was no longer a strange name when he had time to lead Faze Clan. However, in the 2021 season, FaZe Clan did not win any major titles, and was not eligible to participate in Masters 2 and Masters 3.
Therefore, Rawkus decided to break up with FaZe Clan to search for new stops and the next destination was Sentinels. Over the past 1 year, Sentinels has been considered the leading team of Valorant in North America. The best achievement of Sentinels is the Masters 2 champion. However, at Masters 3, Shahzam and his teammates were eliminated from the quarterfinals by Team Envy.

Up to the time of Rawkus appointment, Sentinels was almost the only team to play without coach. Recognizing the shortcomings after Masters 3, Sentinels signed a contract with Rawkus to hope for a better performance at Valorant Champions. This is an event equivalent to the world finals of League of Legends and will start from the beginning of December.
Rawkus is considered to be experienced characters in FPS games in North America. In the past, he was the Overwatch player and won the Overwatch World Cup 2019 with the US team. After 3 years of working with the Houston Outlaws team, Rawkus abandoned the Overwatch career to move to work with Valorant teams.
Meanwhile, Sentinels will not have any change in the main squad before the valorant Champions. The members of Sentinels currently include Shahzeb “Shahzam” Khan, Hunter “Sick” Mims, Tyson “Tenz” Ngo, Michael “Dape” Gulino and Jared “Zombs” Gitlin.
