– Explain strength: Neon releases all excess radianite charges that have stored in the battery box on the back. The high voltage current running through her body exceeded the controlled level. Neon transmits all this high current into the fingertips, then pushes it out in the form of radianite lightning that can shock electricity on anyone in contact.

– What is the goal of everyone when designing neon?
Ryan “Rycou” Cousart: There are 2 words that we have always reminded herself to remember in the design process she to keep the unity, it is “fast” and “crazy”. I still remember initially when August Browning (the leading general designer of the League of Legends) came and shared with us about the idea of creating an agent with the ability to run extremely quickly with just one basic skill.
There are many reasons in my mind that I think that if we want to do that, we need to carry a huge amount of work that is hard to overcome. The goal that we aim to design neon is that she can move quickly and her utility skills must support this.
After seeing the entire working process at that time of Jay Watford (game designer) and August before I went into completion of the final stages, I was very excited to see that we have achieved the goal of creating good combined skills with fast moving, proving that her design has passed the prototype test that has almost no skills!
– Where did people inspire and want to convey any special message through Neon agent?
John “Riot_memememe” Goscicki: Speed. Everything about Neon brings a feeling of rushing forward and moving at crazy speed. Most of her designs are impressed by the strong sports clothes, the help in the sprint and the physique of a athletes.
We are also learning about the type of biological hidden in the ocean floor, using it as a solid foundation to help us create a unique shape and movement in her lightning.
– Can people share interesting challenges or stories when designing neon?
John “Riot_memememe” Goscicki: The moment I think I will never forget it is when Neon's displaying quality is defective for 1 day. So suddenly when the ultimate was activated, all her body structure was confused.
This happened, causing Neon's face to appear on her hand when you use the ultimate. To celebrate that day we called it “the face-as well.”
Ryan “Rycou” Cousart: While trying to find a way to improve the bolt of lightning, we actually drafted a very “stable” skill but wanted to change to find something that felt more suitable for her crazy gameplay.
I accidentally deleted the code that made Neon's bullets “stop when touching the wall or surfaces” while making some changes to their moving logic. And it was that surprised me when I saw this ray quickly turned from one wall to another in our test test.
It really feels like being struck by lightning, so I made a few videos and sent it to August and Jay on that night for them to design. With the same design as Yoru's blind spot, we happened to find a better way to perform, all thanks to the seemingly stupid things that I created.
– Is there anything else who wants to share with the player?
Ryan “Rycou” Cousart: I have worked at Riot for a while and until now, almost not many people talk about creating a character from the Philippines. I myself are a designer from the Philippines, so this time when it was given the opportunity to perform a Filipino agent is really lucky for me.
I still remember the day when John and Jay told me that I would receive this opportunity. I secretly thanked God for not having any cameras there because at that moment I was choked and teary with tears.
I could not even say a long time and last only whispered to them that “Thank you very much”. Witnessing the efforts of the Neon design team combined with the Riot team in Southeast Asia to blow her soul into the most realistic way is what makes me feel really proud, even though it is only a small part of the job.
