MC Nana: 'During the day I practiced wushu, I gave it to Valorant in the evening'

Sharing with Thethao.vn, MC Nana said she could not prepare much for this tournament due to her busy schedule at the 31st SEA Games. At the same time, MC Nana revealed that she used to play League of Legends before moving to Valorant since 2021.

Hello everyone, I'm Deng Xiaoping. In the Esports community, people often call me Nana. I am 22 years old, I am living in Hanoi.

What position do you work in in the Valorant tournaments?

Before VCT Challengers Vietnam Stage 2, I was the chief of the matches of Valorant's Esports system in Vietnam. In this tournament, I decided to change the wind and become the MC of VCT Challengers Vietnam Stage 2.

What is your main job in this event?

At this event, I was the MC at the Onlan stage. I am the one who makes the question as well as interviewing the players before and after the match. Depending on the requirements of the organizers, I will interview the winning team or the team that lost their feelings after the match. The question will often follow the happenings of the match. During the mid -hour break, I also made a short interview with my audience present in the competition area.

What have you prepared for the MC position at VCT Challengers Vietnam Stage 2?

This time I did not have too much time to prepare. Because I had just participated in the SEA Games for 3 days, the tournament had begun. Therefore, I did not prepare many things carefully, which leads to some small errors in the MC process. However, I always try every day, often review my interviews of the day. From there, I learned from my experience in the following interviews. Hopefully in the future, I will improve my skills.

Did you share that you just joined the 31st SEA Games. So what is your activity there?

At SEA Games 31, I played in wushu for the Vietnamese national team. I won 2 bronze medals in this congress.

How do you balance the two areas when operating in parallel with both sides like that?

Because before the VCT Challengers Vietnam Stage 2 tournament took place, I focused all my efforts for the 31st SEA Games, so I confessed that I could not prepare much for this tournament. As soon as the SEA Games had just ended, I took 3 days to work with BTC to prepare more carefully for the tournament.

In order to operate in parallel with the two fields, I divide the time clearly for each array. In the morning and in the afternoon, I spent the practice of wushu, and the whole evening time I spent Valorant. Usually 11 am or 12 o'clock at night I just slept, and at 8 o'clock, I woke up to practice wushu.

How have you “charmed” with Valorant?

Previously I played the League of Legends for a long time, around 2014. Until mid -2021, I wanted to switch to a new game. At that time, I happened to know the Valorant game. I think this is a game developed by Riot Games with very beautiful graphics, and experience when playing with friends is also very happy. Some time later, community groups had an announcement of admission to administrators, so I applied for work. I gradually developed, up to the position of arbitration in Vietnam tournaments after having experience in organizing a series of tournaments from the community to the country.

For you personally, what does VCT Challengers Vietnam Stage 2 mean?

For me, this is a very special tournament. Because thanks to this stage, people will know themselves more. There will be no longer only the players will know themselves as the arbitration position, but the audience will also know a Nana as the MC of the Valorant stage.
