Roach shared in the video posted by T1: “Hello, I am Roach, the coach of T1. I will leave the team for a while to fulfill my obligations and I am very sad to notify this news.
“In the past two years, I have been working with the best team with the best players, coaches and employees with continuous support. The recent journey is great, especially the championship moments. Starting as a player and now a coach, I feel very meaningful when I can contribute to supporting the team.”
Roach has started playing professional League since 2015 and joined T1 at the end of the 2019 season before moving to T1 Challengers in 2020 and finally became the coach of the team. In the player's career, Roach once won the LCK CL once in the spring of 2023.
However, Roach's career completely changed when changing the role to the coach. Although not succeeding with the Challengers squad, Roach has continuously achieved success when becoming a coach of T1 from the summer of 2023. Along with the current squad, Roach has contributed to the two world championships 2023 and 2024 and the title at Esports World Cup 2024.
