“We believe that the mobile game series will change the future of eSports,” the global Esports director of Riot Games John Needham said.
At Riot's press conference on May 5, with the presence of more than 300 press units, director John Needham also shared many information related to the global Esports event.
“In order to close the series of Esports tournaments of the Chien Chien, the regional teams will compete for the first time to win the right to attend the global speed tournament,” director John Needham said. “Although there is no specific plan, Riot will certainly organize an Esports event that speeds globally in the fourth quarter of this year.”

Currently, the Esports tournaments of the region have started around the world. Notably, the first official Esports tournament Icon Series Sea Sea season took place in Southeast Asia has ended successfully. This 5 -week event takes place in many countries including Vietnam, Taipei China, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore with 54 teams attending.
“We have seen a lot of eSports organizations around the world formed their speeding team,” the Esports director of the global battle climbing Faria said. “In Southeast Asia, organizations like The Alliance, RRQ and Flash Wolves have also introduced their speed squad. When other tournaments in the world started, we hope to see a few other big names in the Esports village announcing the battle line.”
According to Leo Faria, the regional tournament schedule, the tournament rule organized by a third party and other information about this global event will soon be revealed this year.
Meanwhile, director John Needham emphasized: “For us, this is a summary from the 10 -year experience of building and developing eSports, and an opportunity to learn about things that make the mobile gaming community special, create a unique and attractive electronic sport with speed players.”
