G2 Esports was established in February 2014 with the name Gamers2 by former League of Legends player Carlos “Ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago and investor Jens Hilgers. However, the organization changed its name to G2 Esports in October 2015. Thus, in 2025, this 10th anniversary will be called G2 Esports.
To celebrate this special occasion, G2 launched the shirt of 2025. Unlike the dominant black and white color, this year G2 sold two shirts with Pro Kit will be used in regional tournaments and the main color is red and black instead of black and white as usual. Meanwhile, the pretisge shirt with white will be used at the team's international events.
In addition, G2 also launched G2LLERY, an role -playing gallery located in Berlin, Germany. The organization said the gallery will share the moments of this organization that has been over a decade. Currently, fans can visit the gallery until January 20.
Alban Dechelotte, the CEO of G2 Esports also stated: “I am extremely proud of the past decade, but now it's time for us to bring G2 to a new level. Our aspirations are now much bigger, and in 2025, it is the year for G2 to become a new generation sports organization of the future.”
Currently, G2 Esports is attending a total of 8 electronic sports including Rainbow Six Siege, Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Valorant, Call of Duty, Hearthstone, Iracing, Fortnite and Rocket League. In addition, the organization has also appeared in the Esports World Cup Foundation club support program and attended the biggest event in the history of e -sports, Esports World Cup 2024 and won 9th place.
