XETE retired just before the VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024

“Today I want to announce that I will withdraw from T1's official squad and retire,” XTE shared on her personal page.

“I have played CSGO and Valorant for 8 years. I have spent all my passion and love and has a lot of memories and happiness with everything that happened throughout my career.”

XETE will perform military service after retirement

XETE added: “Recently, I also realized my mental health and my body were no longer the same as before I started to have the help of the organization, to talk to the sports psychologist. I feel that I have to recover now and recently I started to be piled up.”

“Therefore, to take care of my health, I withdraw from the squad and talk to the whole team to make a decision. And most importantly, I also have to serve the national military service. That's why I make decisions to retire at this time.”

Seon-ho “xega” Son was born in 1997, played for the leading CSGO teams in Asia such as MVP PK and Typo. By 2020, XTE switched to Valorant and joined Cloud9.

At C9, the most outstanding achievement of XEta is to win the Top 8 World Valorant Champions 2021 finals. By August 2022, XETE returned to Korea and T1. Accordingly, XETE joined T1 to attend VCT Lock // in S outfaulo 2023, won 3rd place VCT Pacific League 2023, Top 10 VCT Masters Tokyo 2023 and Top 12 Valorant Champions 2023.
