PUBG Mobile earned more than 210 million USD in June 2021

According to reports from the Sensor Tower data analysis platform, PUBG Mobile earned 214.8 million USD in June 2021, up 11% over the same period last year. Most of the revenue comes from the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile with the game called Peaceeper Elite (also known as the For Peace game).

Specifically, 53.3% of PUBG Mobile's revenue comes from the Chinese market, while the figure from the US market is only 11.2%. Also according to Sensor Tower, the above statistics are only from the Google Play store and Apple app store. However, compared to May 2021 when PUBG Mobile earned 258 million USD, the amount of 214.8 million USD was still modest.

Despite impressive revenue from May and June 2021, PUBG Mobile is not the number one mobile game in China. Another game of Tencent, Honor of Kings, has earned US $ 277 million and is leading according to the data provided by Sensor Tower, up 21% compared to the same period of 2020.

More detailed statistics show that China accounts for 95.6% of Honor of Kings revenue and the rest belongs to Taiwan. A few other games are in the top 5 mobile games with the highest revenue including Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds, Roblox and Candy Crush Saga. Meanwhile, Garena Free Fire is only 8th and Pokemon Go ranks 9th.

Over the past years, China's eSports has developed relatively comprehensively, typically in League of Legends and PUBG PC. However, China's PUBG Mobile is still not considered a big man. Instead, representatives from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and especially India are highly appreciated teams in international tournaments.
