In the first match, Paper Rex (PRX) confronted Wolves Esports (Wol). The chosen maps are Lotus (PRX), Ascent (Wol) and Split. At the first map, Wol started impressive, creating an advantage of 4-1. Although Prx later equalized, the Chinese representative still created an advantage of 7-5 after the first 12 rounds.
When they switched, the two sides continued to chase. Finally, PRX balanced the score 12-12, then won at Overtime to take the lead 1-0. Following the sublimation momentum, PRX showed an impressive performance at the Ascent map, especially the defense side with 7 consecutive victories to create a distance of 8-4. After that, PRX quickly won Match Point and eventually won the final 13-8, set the score 2-0.
In the second match, G2 Esports (G2) confronted Fnatic (FNC). Entering the match, G2 chose Lotus, FNC to choose Split and Haven as the decisive map. At Lotus, FNC started better with the first two victories. Immediately, the G2 quickly returned and instrument 5-3. Finally, the first play ended with a score of 6-6.
In the second round, G2 continued to be an advantage when leading 10-9. However, FNC won the last 4 rounds and set the score 13-10, took the lead 1-0 in the Bo3 series. At the second map – Split, the game was very struggling. The two teams were constantly chasing each round and finally G2 was the leader of 7-5. However, when changing sides, G2 did not keep this advantage.
Opening the attack side with the winning round, G2 suddenly lost to Eco in the next round. FNC did not miss the opportunity to quickly equalize, then repeatedly won and ended the first map with a 13-10 victory, setting a 2-0 victory.
With two results today, G2 Esports was officially eliminated from the tournament, while Paper Rex entered the final final. Meanwhile, Fnatic will confront Wolves Esports to compete for the remaining tickets to attend the last match of VCT Masters Toronto 2025.
