Riot Games announced a series of changes for the First Stand tournament

First Stand 2025 is the first international event of the League of Legends year, taking place from March 10-16 in Seoul, South Korea. The event will gather 5 regional champions from LCK, LPL, LEC, LCP and LTA tournaments. 2025 was also the first time First Stand was held and Riot Games has announced a lot of changes, such as the application of ban/selection of Fearless Draft.

In addition, Riot Games also announced some noticeable changes. Most notably, First Stand 2025 will announce the new display (HUD) with the purpose of “enhancing the experience for both loyal and new fans”.

According to the published images, the new HUD will be more detailed about all the information, and the score table will be made more compact, convenient to monitor. Another improvement in the HUD screen at the parameter table below will be made larger, more information and add color to clearly distinguish between the two teams.

Riot Games also announced that the form of co-stream will continue to be applied at this new international event. Information from the publisher said that 75 content creators will participate in the form of co-stream, similar to MSI and the World Championship. Players can also receive rewards through live broadcasting and login ID Riot on LOL Esports homepage.

Finally, Riot Games's global power rankings will officially return on March 2. This ranking has been used in the 2024 World Championship to assess the strength of teams around the world. Although not updated from the Split 1 tournament (regional tournaments), this ranking will continuously adjust in regional tournaments and international events from now on.
