According to the evaluation data, published by the Vietnam Entertainment Electronic Sports Association (Viresa) and OTA Network newly announced (Vietnam E-Commerce White Book 2022-2023) has launched remarkable numbers about the eSports market. The number of people participating in electronic entertainment in Vietnam reached 28.2 million people, accounting for 28.7% of the population. In 2023, the number of eSports followers in Vietnam accounted for 16% of the total population, equivalent to Indonesia and Taiwan (China). Vietnam is also among the top 5 countries with the highest number of Essports followers in Southeast Asia in 2023. This shows that electronic sports in Vietnam are increasingly developing no less than other popular sports.
The strategy of raising the Esports Vietnam was officially accompanied by FPT and GAM from the first cooperation event in August, 2024. From that cooperation agreement, FPT and GAM set goals to put Esports into the fields, products and services of FPT ecosystem such as education, digital content and telecommunications … to gradually promote, raise awareness and attract the attention of the community for eSports.
