MSI 2025 is the second international tournament of the League of Legends year, taking place from June 28 to 13 in Vancouver, Canada. This year, the tournament gathered 10 teams to attend: Geng, T1, Anyone's Legend, Bilibili Gaming, CTBC Flying Oyster, GAM ESPORTS, MKOI, G2 ESPORTS, FlyQuest and Furia.

Ahead of the tournament, Riot Games updated and re -evaluated the strength of all participating teams through Global Power Rankings. This is a ranking of Riot Games to assess the strength of professional League of Legends teams in the world. The criteria are given to assess the strength of the teams to confront, the winning rate – loss, the nature of the matches and the combination of the strength of the areas.

In this list, many fans wondered about the 4th position of T1 when this team showed badly in the first half of the season and faced many difficulties. Faker and his teammates have only returned recently when destroying KT Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports in the selection round to MSI. Besides, Anyone's Legend even though the Chinese champion is still ranked 5, and Bilibili Gaming is third.
In the following positions, the two representatives of the LCP are CTBC Flying Oyster and the Esports grams, respectively, ranked 15th and 22, located in the lower group compared to the MSI 2025 teams. To Emea, G2 Esports, despite losing pain in the final, still ranked 9th in the rankings, leaving the MKOI champion in the 18th area. Located out of the top 50.
In addition, in some other positions, Hanwha Life Esports is the team that owns the highest ranking but does not attend MSI 2025 (class 2). The play-in round will start the MSI 2025 tournament with 4 teams G2 Esports, Bilibili Gaming, Gam Esports and Furia. These are all regional seeds and teams will play to identify the two teams entering the Bracket round. In terms of formula, 4 teams will be divided, competing according to the winning branch – the losing branch and all matches are delineated in the results by the Bo5. The teams who won 2 matches will go straight to the Bracket round, and the team that lost 2 matches will be eliminated.
