Personal competition format
PUBG Mobile's personal competition category this year has 1 set of medals: 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 dong. Each team will send 3 representatives to participate in personal competition. The players competing in this category also need to be on the list of registration at the team category.
The players will play within 2 days, 5 matches a day with the order of map, Erangel – Miramar – Erangel – Sanhok – Miramar. The final result will be decided based on the total score that the players win after 10 matches. The medal set will be awarded to the top 3 players.
The players participating in the competition can earn points through the number of defeated and ranked matches. With each defeated network, the player will get 1 point. With the ranking of 47 onwards, the player will win from 1 to 20 corresponding points.

– The total number of points won through rankings in personal matches.

Team competition format
PUBG Mobile's team competition category at SEA Games 31 has the presence of 17 teams, from 9 countries. This year's team category has 1 set of medals: 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 dong.

The teams participating in the competition will have to go through 2 rounds: qualifying and finals. The qualifying round consists of 5 matches, finding 16 teams with the best achievement to the final. The final round lasted 3 days with a total of 15 matches held to find the owner of the prestigious medal. In every day of competition, the teams will play 5 matches, with the order of map, Erangel – Miramar – Erangel – Sanhok – Miramar. The final result will be decided based on the total score that the teams won after 15 matches.
Teams participating in the competition can earn points through the number of defeated lives and the match rankings. With each defeated network, the team will get 1 point. With the ranking of 12 onwards, the team will win from 1 to 15 points respectively.
