Valorant's eSports director wrote on X: “speculating that we are now reassessing the cooperation of some teams in VCT is wrong. We will make the performance of every team at the end of each season and eventually reassess all teams before the new cooperation cycle begins in 2027”.

In 2022, 30 teams in the Americas, Pacific and Emea signed a cooperation to join the team's franchise system. By 2024, teams from China also participated in this system when the country became a separate area. In addition, this contract is within 4 years and the teams will continue to play normally until the end of the 2026 season.

For the remaining teams that have not been entered, these teams will continue to play Challengers to get to the regional tournament. However, if the team leaves this franchise system of Riot, the Challengers teams will be the first review teams, like the case of G2 Esports acquiring The Guard squad to compete after winning the Challengers.

Currently, the teams from Challengers are still competing to compete with a single capacity to play in the regional tournament in 2025. With the changes announced by Riot Games previously, the Challengers teams will be professional in a season, then depending on the achievement of the year will decide that team to stay or will return to competition in the second year in the next year.
